In accordance with the relevant work arrangements of the Ministry of Water Resources, Changjiang Water Resources Commission made timely preparations for flood prevention and drought disaster prevention in the Yangtze River basin in 2022.Recently, the Yangtze River Commission formulated and issued the "2022 Yangtze River Commission's Flood and Drought Disaster Prevention Key Pre-flood Work List" to make specific arrangements for the pre-flood key work.

The work list has identified 35 pre-flood priorities for flood and drought disaster prevention from six aspects: pre-flood preparation, inspection of flood preparations,checking weak items and making up for shortcomings, water engineering scheduling,hydrological forecasting and network communication support, basic research and dispatching system construction. At the same time, for each key work, the responsible department or unit, the process time node and the completion time limit are clarified.

At present, the Yangtze River Basin has entered a stage of intense flood preparation. Changjiang Water Resources Commission will thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on disaster prevention and mitigation, resolutely implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, earnestly implement the work requirements of the National Defense General Administration and the Ministry of Water Resources, and strictly follow the work list to effectively manage flood and drought disasters in the Yangtze River Basin in 2022. In the pre-flood preparation work, we must forge ahead with diligence and perseverance, firmly guard the bottom line of flood and drought disaster prevention, and ensure the safety of flood control, ecological safety and water supply in the Yangtze River Basin.
